Prvo šolsko uro so se učenci predmetne stopnje predstavili s svojim znanjem angleščine. S pomočjo Powerpoint predstavitev so nas seznanili z različnimi podatki o evropskih in neevropskih jezikih.

It was very funny and nice today. At first, we prepared some presentations about languages. After that, Mrs Karen Thorne visited our school. She is from England, but now she lives in Slovenia, Griže. She has been in Slovenia for 11 years. Karen talked to us in English and we asked her questions. Staš, Elvis, teacher Matej Berk, Karen and I went around Planina and saw the castle, the bakery, the pub and the monument. I liked a walk around Planina the most.

It was a very interesting day today. I was a part of the programme too. I asked students about some fun facts of languages and we had a lot of fun. Then a lady from England came to our school and told us about different chapters in her life: when did she move here and what are the reasons for staying here. I loved listening to her. When her speech was over she and a few of our students went for a walk around Planina and told her the history of Planina. When she left we worked on some posters.

On 26th September the whole Europe celebrates European Day of Languages. Our school visited a lady from England called Karen. She lives in Slovenia for 11 years. She came camping once to Slovenia with her husband and because the landscape was so beautiful and because of all stress in London she decided to live in Slovenia. After her description we went to classrooms. We had workshops and we searched for idioms in Slovene, English and German language. We made posters with idioms in all three languages. We decorated the hall and the dining room with our posters. The best of this day was the visit of this lady.

On Monday, 26th September 2016, we had a project day at our school. Some children made presentations in English. Then came to our school a very special person. She was born in England, specifically in the centre of London. She told us about her life in England. Her husband and she came to Slovenia just for a trip, but the Slovenian nature was so beautiful so they decided to stay in Slovenia. She explained us why is it important to learn foreign languages and told us about her accident in Slovenia. Her husband was stung by a hornet five times and he needed medical attention. When she finished with her presentation, we had to go to our classrooms. We were working with a tablet and were looking for idioms in different languages. Then we went into a computer room and had to sing in a tool OBLAK 365. I worked with Rene.
